DGIT’s 2017 Catalyst in Network World and 2018 Catalyst preview

Catalyst projects are rapid fire proof-of-concept projects bringing together companies large and small to create innovate solutions to common challenges demonstrating how this can be achieved leveraging key TM forum best practices and standards.

DGIT Systems is a long-time participant in the TM Forum Catalyst program. Our latest award-winning Catalyst is featured in a great article, proving that the work undertaken by this collaborative project is highly valuable to the Service Providers community. You can read the full article here.

At TM Forum Digital Transformation World which will be held in Nice from May 14-17, the team will showcase an extension of this project. This new phase is championed by Telstra, AT&T, Orange, Vodafone and MEF. The participants involved are Ciena, DGIT Systems, Riverbed and Infosys.

This Catalyst combines the key industry thinking in marketplace integration and virtualised network management from the TM Forum and MEF. Specifically, the MEF LSO Architecture is realised through this project using TM Forum APIs and remaining conformant to MEF service definitions where applicable. The project also implements a HIP inspired architecture across multiple operational network domains provided by Ciena, Riverbed and ONAP. It will demonstrate TM Forum APIs  used in catalog driven network integration to the MEF Legato use case;

– To Ciena Blue Planet Network Service Orchestrator for Carrier Ethernet.

– To ONAP for Firewall, VoLTE and virtual CPE VNF.

– To Riverbed for SD-WAN.

Telflow, powered by DGIT Systems, will be used as the platform to create a self-service ordering portal with an offer canvass experience.

The project aims to show tangible upgraded customer experience & operational efficiency for the partners. It will demonstrate orchestration of services across multiple providers and over diverse network technology domains, supporting CSP to shape automated, model-driven digital ecosystems.
